Calling all students in the Korean Studies program! The Academy for Korean Studies in South Korea has partnered with the Department of Asian Studies to create a scholarship of $3,500 for four students studying Korean Studies. The scholarship was created to encourage students to deeper their understanding of and interest in Korean society and culture.

Priority will be given to those who have taken courses in Korean language and culture and demonstrate academic excellence in these subjects. Additionally, those who plan to study in Korea and are in disadvantaged positions in pursuing this study are also given priority.

Students must be at least have sophomore standing when applying and must show a plan of study and progress in Korean and include transcripts and two letters of recommendation.
